Supporting Young People and Promoting Positive Behaviour To enable adults working with young people to understand and meet their needs; to promote positive behaviour and appropriately manage challenging behaviour in their section.

To provide Leaders, Managers and Supporters with information about how we deliver quality Scouting to Young People and how we ensure that it meets their needs. To provide them with an opportunity to plan and review a sectional programme, including the use of a variety of methods to generate ideas.

This training session covers Modules 5, 7, 8, 9 and 11

To cover ways in which an adult volunteering with a section can work with their line manager and others to plan and contribute to the growth of their section and/or Group

This session covers Residential Experiences and their importance in Scouting; the Nights Away Permit Scheme; the organisation and administration required to run Nights Away experiences and activities; activity permits; how to run activities safely and risk assessments
