We’ve been here since 1921, so we know our oars, and are ready to show you a fun time rowing on the Thames. We’re usually available weekday evenings from April to October, so look at our rowing calendar to see when we’re free; once you have a date or two in mind fill out the booking form on our website, www.14thrichmondsbc.org.uk, or email the centre directly and we’ll get back to you and put your request into our log book. And then all you will need to do is arrive in Richmond and be ready for a little light exercise!

Although we are a Scout Boating Centre, a proportion of our activities are with local businesses where we facilitate team building, youth groups, from both statutory and voluntary sectors, special needs groups, church groups and even an occasional wedding.

All our instructors are either British Rowing Level 2 rowing coaches or have been assessed for a Scout Association adventurous activity permit for water activities, are first aid trained and DBS cleared. We occasionally run Scout badge, or activity permit courses and assessments. The 14th Richmond Viking Scout Boating Centre is a British Rowing “Explore Rowing” Accredited Centre and we can also run the British Rowing ‘Learn to Row’ course.
