Congratulations to 16th Purley – ‘The Imperfects’ on winning the Adkin Trophy
The Adkin Camping Challenge is open to groups in Croydon District and has been run each year since 1925, making this year the 100th edition (thanks to the Covid pandemic preventing the 2020 edition from running). Over the weekend, 17 teams went head to head showing off their camping skills and completing various activities at Bears Wood Campsite, overseen by Leaders and Young Leaders, some past winners of the competition. Standards were high, with all teams achieving at least the Silver Standard, so all those who competed should be proud of what they achieved.
Our congratulations go to the team from 16th Purley ‘The Imperfects’, pictured below with their leaders and Chris Wright, our County Lead Volunteer, for achieving Gold Standard and being the overall winners of the Adkin Trophy and our thanks to all the Leaders and Young Leaders in Croydon District who gave their time to run the event.
