Welcome Aiden Neal to the GLSW County Leadership Team

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Aiden Neal as our new County Youth Lead.   Aiden will join the County Leadership Team and County Board of Trustees with immediate effect to help ensure we remain youth shaped with what we do at the County level.

Aiden is currently the District Youth Lead for Croydon District and sits on their District Board of Trustees, is the District Network Team Leader for Croydon and is a Team Member with the Beavers and Cubs sections at 1st Purley (Princess Christian’s Own) Scout Group.  Aiden will relinquish his District Youth Lead and Trustee roles in due course, once a successor has been found and a handover completed, and will of course support them in his new County role, and he will be continuing with his other appointments.

Our Recruitment Panel was very impressed by what Aiden has achieved in the year he has been in role as Croydon District Youth Lead and feels he is well placed to bring the various District Youth Leads together as one team to better collaborate and ensure the voice of our youth members is heard at District and County level.

“In the short time that I have known Aiden, I have been impressed by his drive and proactivity to share ideas and get things done” said Chris Wright, County Lead Volunteer.  “I am delighted to welcome him to the County Leadership Team and look forward to seeing him make a great contribution as we seek to offer more support to our Districts and Groups so that we can collectively offer more opportunities and more adventure to our youth members”
