For ages 4-6, Squirrels is all about discovering, exploring and having fun – building confidence, trying new things and taking those first steps into adventure.
After being launched in 2021 by our Joint President, HRH, The Princess of Wales, Squirrels has grown and is continuing to grow in GLSW. While not all groups currently have a Squirrel drey, every district has at least one. Use the Drey finder below to find your nearest squirrel section.

Squirrels uniform and badge placement
You don’t need a uniform to get started but pretty soon you will start earning badges and it helps to know where they go!
Badges and Awards
Try something new or get to grips with something you love. If it excites you or interests you, we have probably got a badge for it!
Squirrel leaders
All of our leaders are trained volunteers working to make Squirrels the best it can be! We don’t just need week-to-week leaders, we are on the lookout for tea-makers, tidy-uppers from all walks of life. For as much or as little time as they can spare.
