Greater London South West Scout County takes your privacy very seriously and we are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Statement sets out our current data processing practices. 1. The Information we collect

The only circumstances in which we will provide any of your personal data to a third party for non-commercial purposes are those contained in this Privacy Policy.

This website only holds usernames and email addresses in the database (the email address is used to send out new passwords), articles on the site may also show names. We would not normally display any other personally identifiable information unless requested to and agreed to by the person whose information is being displayed.

2. Sharing of data

We may share data supplied by you (or collected about you) with other parts of The Scout Association and County.

3. Disclosure of data by order of a Court and Security

We reserve the right to communicate a Member's personal information as we hold to third parties who are empowered by regulation, statute or order of a court.

We have security measures in place to protect our customer database. Access to this database is restricted internally. However, it remains each Member's responsibility:

  • to keep their password secret;
  • to protect against unauthorised access to your personal Details;
  • to log off from the website Service when not using it; and
  • to ensure against use by anyone else of the website through the machine that member uses while they are 'logged on' to the website.

4. Cookies

This website uses small files which are sent to your web browser and stored on your computer's hard disk. This website itself doesn't drop cookies, however, third party tools added to the site may use and leave cookies on your computer. This includes tools like Google Analytics, social media such as Facebook and Twitter and embedded videos from sources like YouTube. We will try and make you aware if cookies are present and give you the opportunity to opt out.

You can also disable cookies in your website browser preventing them being saved. This may affect some of the websites functionality.
