Hello,
We will be running Youth Proficiency Scheme (YPS) courses for Rifle and Pistol, starting on Monday 30th and Tuesday 31st January 2023.
The courses run for 8 weeks, one 1 hour session per week (not including Half Terms or Public Holidays).
The courses will follow the National Smallbore Rifle Association’s Youth Proficiency Scheme (aka NSRA /YPS), covering safety, the law, and basic techniques of air Rifle or Pistol shooting.
At the end of the course there will be a simple theory test and you will receive an NSRA YPS Certificate, and you will be awarded an NSRA Proficiency Badge according to the level of shooting skill reached. You also qualify for your Scout ‘Master at Arms’ badge, once you have competed in a competition (the club runs two competitions per year).
Each course costs £62.50

- RIFLE: Monday 19:00 – 20:00 – Max 8
- RIFLE: Tuesday 19:30 – 20:30 – Max 4
- PISTOL: Monday 20:00 – 21:00 – Max 8
- PISTOL: Tuesday 19:30 – 20:30 – Max 4
NOTE: You must have previously completed a YPS Rifle course before applying for a Pistol course
